SUMMER NEWSLETTER

Summer is a busy time at Planet.  Classes continue on their current schedules in the evenings, (check if your class is small, as it may be combined with another) while summer camp takes place during the day.  We still have Open Gym on Friday evenings, birthday parties on Saturdays, and the fencing and dance gyms continue to operate.

Team girls switch to daytime hours starting Tuesday, May 30th.  For those girls still at school, we are continuing evening hours for the rest of the week,  just for them.  Pick up a schedule at the front desk.

The gym will be closed on Monday, May 29th for Memorial Day, and will re-open on Tuesday at 7.30am for summer day camps.  Camps are for girls and boys, 3 to 14 yrs, and can be purchased on a half day, whole day or bulk buy basis.  Pick up a postcard with all the details, at the front desk.

Olympic Camp for female gymnasts takes place on June 12-15 with visiting World & Olympic Champion coaches.  All levels of team and class gymnasts are invited.  Registration forms are at the front desk.

We will also have extra conditioning classes going on during the summer.  Sign up on a daily basis, or for the whole summer with Coach Melanie.

The gym will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 for Independence Day, and the make up class will take place on Saturday, July 15th, so be sure to sign up at the front desk and get your class time.

There will be no team or recreational classes during the week of July 31 – August 5 to allow our coaches a vacation.  Summer camp will continue during this week.  Classes resume on Monday, August 7th, and team will go back to evening practice then.

Congratulations to our team on completing a great season, with 27 State and 4 Regional Champions!  Thanks to the parents for the recent banquet celebrating their hard work, and in particular, the dedication of our Seniors, Melonie Thomas and Natasha Novikov.
